Community Events Calendar

Things to know before creating your online event:

Disclosures
The City maintains full editorial control over all submitted events and reserves the right to reject any event submission that is incomplete, inaccurate, does not meet outlined criteria, is deemed inappropriate, or is not of interest to the broader community. The Community Events Calendar is not a public forum. Events shared are for informational purposes only and do not imply endorsement by the City or its sponsors. The City may reject any submission at its sole discretion and is not required to provide notice of denial.

All event activities must comply with applicable laws and ordinances, including obtaining any required permits. Event organizers are responsible for coordinating with appropriate emergency services and governmental bodies, as applicable. For additional local information, please refer to City Code.
The Community Events Calendar looks good and works well on mobile phones. However, the event creation tools are currently desktop only, but that will be changing soon. If you need any assistance, contact social@wspmn.gov.
  • Creating an Event
  • Events should be created around two (2) months in advance to allow sufficient time for review, publishing, and promotion. Events submitted in less than five (5) business days from the start will generally not be considered.
  • Submission of an event does not guarantee approval, nor does it guarantee that any subsequent editing requests will be fulfilled.
  • The ‘Event Description’ container must share information about who is organizing the event and where more information can be found. Explore West St. Paul Days, hosted by the City of West St. Paul. Learn more: explorewsp.com.
  • Events must take place in West St. Paul or in an area immediately bordering West St. Paul. Events submitted from areas that immediately border West St. Paul will only be considered when the event could be considered to have a regional draw. For example: South St. Paul Kaposia Days (a large-scale celebration).
  • Submissions that are typically not eligible for publishing include, but are not limited to:
    • On-going programs, assemblies, and retreats.
    • Political events and rallies.
    • Retail store discounts unless incorporated into an event.
